What is BLUE LOCK?

blue lock is a shonen sports manga/anime series that started in 2018 and has gained a lot of popularity since its 2022 anime release. so far there's only 2 seasons of blue lock as well as a spin-off movie titled episode:nagi. the series follows yoichi isagi as he's accepted into blue lock and trains and fights to become the world's best striker, participating in four rounds of selections (thus far), all of which are made to pick off unsuitable candidates to be the world's best striker. these rounds include simple team vs team matches, a match against the u-20s of japan (the best soccer players in japan under 20), and matches based on 5 different countries, all of which include the best soccer players of the countries. kinda hard to explain.
