Hakuoki Sweet School Life is an otome game made for the PS Vita, and is one of the best otoge I've ever played. Unfortunately, it's heavy on language in the mini games and I hardly know any Japanese so my enjoyment of the game was not to its fullest :(
About the game Hakuoki SSL is a spin-off of Hakuoki, featuring the main characters of Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms as high school students/teachers at Hakuo Academy, and Chizuru as the only female at the school. It's such a gacha life premise but it's incredibly funny and fun to play!!
Hakuoki SSL features 9 romanceable protagonists from the main games, including my beloved Chikage, the head of the student council. In SSL, Chizuru lives alone and estranged from her younger brother, Kaoru, who goes to the same school, and her father is working abroad. It follows Chizuru during her first year at Hakuo Academy.
My opinion In my opinion, Hakuoki SSL is an amazingly written game and really cute, with the same strengths as Hakuoki's mainline series. However, it's so hard to beat!! I admittedly haven't even finished a single route in the game due to how difficult the 5th chapter's minigame is, which really bugs me. But I would totally reccomend it if you want a quick and cute slice-of-life otoge. There's so many love interests and they're all just as interesting as they are in the mainline games.
