irl i fell in love with tomura in jan 2021, when i first got into my hero; i found his disgustingness to just be so attractive and admitedly he has been a gigantic influence on my type... if it wasn't for him i'd probably be normal sigh.. i still remember when the plf arc was published in the manga, because i had a specific panel as my pfp on discord for months.. he's just so infatuating. i did eventually fall out of mha, but after returning to it in march/april 2025 i totally fell in love with him again. at first i was only watching mha for bakugo but once i started ovulating i became extremely fixated on tomura..

mind you this is a work in progress.. anyways. chae and tomura meet following the hero killer stain incident; chae wanted to be a pro hero until, at 15, the countryside town which she lived in ended up attacked by a villain. however, the heroes who "saved" her town ended up causing enough damage to ruin her family's home as well as the homes and buildings of others in her town. having always had anxiety surrounding the loss of her belongings, this was an incredible blow to her; she had lost nearly everything in the aftermath of the attack and the heroes who defeated the villain did more harm than the actual villain in her eyes, and, worst of all, never recieved more than a slap on the back for the damage they had caused.
following this incident, she moved to the city, where she learned of stain's ideals. she agreed with him, and found herself increasingly interested in the activity of villains, eventually meeting giran. he considered her quirk to be a decent patch for one of the biggest gaps in the league's lineup of quirks- defense and information. thus, he introduced her to the league of villains. she was a valuable asset to the team, and her relationship with tomura grew increasingly less businesslike and more romantic, though, following the war arc, tomura's death hit her incredibly hard. she had been arrested and imprisoned due to her status as an accomplice to the many crimes of the league, though she killed herself while in prison, unable to deal with the state of society and, further, the loss of tomura and all he had built for them.
subsequent rebirth okay i know this sounds so stupid but anyways this hinges soooo much on this soulmate au i came up with. essentially, upon death, if it's found that something interfered with your "happy ending" with the one you loved, you're reborn to live a fufilling life together (so long as that love was requited equally). anyway. so based on this au chae + tomura were both reborn to live a happy life in a quirkless world and all is so good and happy. they meet in high school and end up living together in a shitty one bedroom apartment paid for by tomura's job at gamestop (he doesn't have to pay for college because I personally believe hes a smarty pants and would get in on a scholarship).. yay!
